Earth Care Ministry

The goal of the group is to create community and increase our awareness and oneness with the Earth. We support the Unity North mission statement by recognizing, demonstrating, and sharing the Divinity in each of us. We recognize that Divinity in the nature that surrounds us, including the beautiful earth resources right behind our church that are accessible at any time.

The group includes earth mediation, walking meditation, and discussion about our connection to the earth. We follow the principles outlined in Thich Nhat Hanh’s book Love Letters to Earth.

We meet once a month, rain or shine, on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. We meet in the back parking lot and then carpool to a nearby park for a meditative walk in nature. In case of inclement weather, we will meet in Holy Grounds Café.

Full Moon Fire Ceremonies occur each month at 7:00 pm at the Organic Garden.
