The 5 Unity Principles
The basic tenets of the Unity philosophy:
1. God is good
There is only One Power and One Presence active in the universe, God. God is absolute good and everywhere present.
2. People are good.
The spirit of God lives within/around/as each person; therefore, all people are inherently good.
3. Thoughts create experiences
As spiritual beings formed in the image and after the likeness of God, we are creative. Therefore, through the activity of our thoughts and feelings we create our reality.
4. Prayer/Meditation
Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and reveal the good in my life.
5. Action is needed
Knowing and understanding the laws of life is not enough. We must live the truth we know through our actions.
Our Values
Spirituality
We celebrate God, honor the Divinity within each person, and acknowledge our oneness through living the Truth Principles.
Acceptance
We acknowledge that everyone is a unique expression of God.
Community
We embrace the connection that unites us, creating a place of belonging.
Unconditional Love
This is our core and at the center of everything we value at Unity North Atlanta.
Diversity
Our differences are a source of our strength and create opportunities to learn from one another.
Service
We eagerly and joyfully serve each other, our families, and our community.
