Plan A Visit

What to Expect When You Visit

At Unity North Atlanta, we want your experience to be empowering, fulfilling, and joyous!  Whether it be our creative and inspirational services or our fun and uplifting youth programs, Unity North is a place where you can feel oneness with God, the community, and all humanity. The life changing universal principles we share help us all create an intimate and exciting relationship with the God of our being.

You can expect to be greeted warmly, hugged a lot, and met by a congregation that is truly blessed by your presence. You can expect laughter, playfulness, and a consciousness that is seeking to build bridges of understanding instead of walls.

Our eclectic approach to worship makes us a spiritually diverse and rich group and that’s the way we like it.  Most of all, you can expect to be accepted for who you are and for the spiritual path you are walking.

At Unity North Atlanta, our congregation knows that each of us has a blessed gift to bring so we recognize that as we share our understanding of God that you have something special to bring to us as well. Together we all can become more!

We are grateful that your path has crossed ours and want to introduce you to the many opportunities to connect with others in our community.

Please read through our website. It will point you in the right direction to get plugged in!

Welcome to our home, our family, and our hearts.

Rev. Richard Burdick

Where to Park

Our parking lot is in three sections.  As you pull in the driveway, there is a small parking lot to the right, in front of the Administration Building; however, this parking area fills up fast.  The parking area to the left is larger with more parking spaces.  If you don’t find a space there, our largest parking lot is in the back of the main building. Simply pull around the front of the church and follow the signs down the small hill to the right, and you will see a large parking lot.  Once you park, simply head toward the building. From the front parking lot, you will see greeters at the door waiting to welcome you with a bright smile and maybe even a hug.

If you enter the building from the back parking lot, simply walk toward the building, following the concrete path until you reach the green door. From there, follow the hallway through to the other end, where you will see another door.  Open the door and climb the steps, and at the other end, you will be greeted by some friendly faces, ready to welcome you to our community.

Our differently-abled visitors may be dropped off at the front door, under the portico.  We also have an elevator, so everyone can move freely around the building.  The elevator is to the left of the sanctuary, near the restrooms, and leads downstairs to the children’s ministry area and Holy Grounds Café, where you can enjoy coffee and fellowship.

What do I do with my kids?

Unikids – birth-5th Grade

Affectionately called Unikids, children birth through 5th grade are on the bottom floor of our main building.

You can get there by following the path next to the teepee to the green door.  You may check your children in by entering the second door on the left. If you bring your children downstairs from the sanctuary, simply follow the signs to the stairway that lead downstairs.  From this direction, the Unikids main room is the second room on the right side of the hallway.

Uniteens - middle school

The Uniteens, 6th – 8th graders, meet in the Serenity Room.  When entering from the lower level from the playground door, the Serenity Room is the last door on the right at the end of the hallway next to the main Sanctuary stairwell.

Y.O.U. (Youth of Unity) - high school

The Y.O.U., 9th-12th grades, gather in the Connections Room (formerly known as Room 7).  When entering the main building from the lower level turn right as you enter, walk through the doorway. Turn right into the first hallway, and the Connections Room is the first room on the right, next to the Peace Chapel.

What should I wear?

We are a come as you are type of community, so wear what makes you feel comfortable!  Some people wear jeans, while others feel more comfortable wearing traditional church attire.

How long are the services?

Sunday Services

Our first service, the Contemplation Service, is a smaller, more intimate service that begins at 9:00 am and usually lasts about an hour.  The Celebration Service, our second service, is a livelier service that begins at 11:15 am and typically runs about an hour and fifteen minutes, until 12:30 pm.

Wednesday Evening Experience

Our Wednesday Evening Experience is in two parts: Food and Fellowship, and a time of discussion and meditation.  Come for one part, or join us for the whole experience.

Our Wednesday Evening Experience begins with Food & Fellowship, a catered dinner that is served at 6:00 pm in Holy Grounds Cafe.

The experience continues as we move to the Peace Chapel from 7:00 – 8:15 pm for dialogue, discussion, music, prayer, and meditation with Rev. Richard and other Unity North Leaders.

Childcare is available from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Exploration Room

The YOU meets in the Connections Room for fellowship and homework help from 6:00-8:00pm.

What do I do next?

If you would like to get to know us better, we have a Welcome Table where we’d love to answer any questions you have, connect with the community, and even take you on a tour.  As you walk into the Sanctuary, the Welcome area is to the right against the wall with a Kiosk that holds lots of information we’d love to share with you.

If you missed us on Sunday, give us a call at the office at 678-819-9100, and we’ll connect you with one of our New Beginnings Angels who would love to joyously greet and connect with you on your next visit.

You can also join us on FacebookInstagram, watch previous talks on YouTube, and browse the website for lots of ways to get connected.
