January 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Facilitated by Jennie Scott, Licensed Unity Teacher
This class is one of two classes required to become a Unity North Atlanta Member
Who was Charles Fillmore? What is Silent Unity? What are the 5 Principles and how do they shape our daily spiritual practice? The answers to these questions and more are part of this basic overview of Unity’s history and beliefs.
If you are thinking about becoming a new member of Unity North, or if you have always wondered about how Unity developed, this class is for you. We will start with the history of Unity and how it grew from a living room in Kansas City to a worldwide movement. Then we will look at Unity’s 5 Principles, the core of our faith practice. Finally, we will look at Unity North and how it functions, and ways to get plugged in.
There is no required book for this class, but if you would like to dig deeper, we will be using material from The Story of Unity by James Dillet Freeman and The Five Principles by Rev. Ellen Debenport. Come to learn, to share, and connect.
There is no fee for this class. This is part one of a two-part requirement for new members.
Contact Jennie Scott with questions.
This will be the last chance to become a member before the Unity North Annual Business Meeting in March. Both classes must be completed for membership. If you wish to become a member but cannot make one or both classes, please contact the office at 678-819-9100 or by email.
