There is a Buddhist proverb that says, “If you are facing the right direction, all you need to do is keep on walking.”
This quote reminds me of the truth that when we focus our mind on the sole purpose of knowing the Presence of God and take action based upon that intention we will achieve all our goals. Our universe is set up in such a way that this intention coupled with determined action cannot fail. This is not to say that it won’t be without trip ups, mistakes, and detours, but it does mean that there is no magnetic force more powerful than the spiritual desire to return (remember) home. Life gets hazy and convoluted sometimes and it can be easy to question if we are making any progress. When we work with the universal laws of God by consciously using the power of focused and intentional thought, feeling, and word the fog eventually lifts and Divine Order will always be revealed.
Oliver Wendell Holmes once wrote, “To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail and not drift, nor lie at anchor.” Today I invite you to set the course to the shores of health, prosperity, love, and harmony which will be found in a sole desire to know the Infinite Source of all creation that is God. Resist the human urge to drift or set anchor when storms arise. Use the winds to propel you forward. Use the waters to lift you higher. Keep facing in the direction of your calling.
Jesus, the master teacher, says in Matthew 6:22, “If the eye be single, the whole body shall be full of light.” If our eyes are singly focused on knowing God, and knowing God only, our lives, our relationships, our careers, our families, and our bodies will be full of light. It can be no other way by spiritual law! Airplanes are off course most of the time as they fly from point A to B. The auto pilot makes the corrections and they reach their destinations. We too will reach our destinations as the Universe responds to our leading and conspires to make any corrections needed to realize our highest and best. Happy flying! Happy sailing! Happy walking!
