Shelter Outreach

Cherokee County – Volunteers maintain the center and make improvements in an effort to offer a more healing and homelike environment to those in need. Volunteer tasks include lawn maintenance, helping to keep the facility fresh, painted and well supplied. Volunteers also help in collecting/donating items noted on the centers wish/needs list.

 

Cherokee County Family Violence Center

The Extension

The Extension, located in Marietta, facilitates a transformation that empowers chemically dependent homeless men and women to become sober, accountable members of society and to serve as a recovery resource for the community. Once a month, Unity North provides dinner for women at The Extension.

Habitat for Humanity

Unity North is an active participant in Interfaith Habitat for Humanity builds.  We are excited to join the Interfaith community for a common goal of helping out a family in need.

Family Promise

Four times a year for a week Unity North houses homeless families enrolled in the Family Promise Network. We offer shelter, food and a safe place to get back on their feet.

Career Support

Unity North Atlanta seeks to lead both the spirit and body to wholeness. Those in Job Transition require the practical assistance offered in our Job Networking career Ministry. 

Meeting on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays of every month from 10:30 – 12:30 AM in room 7. 

 

UNA’s Job Networking is led by Amazon #1 Bestselling author Al Smith “the HIRED! guy” who presents workshops and job search advice to reduce one’s period of unemployment. Additional featured speakers include other employment coaches and motivational speakers. Sessions are as entertaining as they are packed with necessary job search information.

Every Sunday we have a barrel to collect food for those in our community who are in need. Please bring non-perishable food items and help share your abundance.

Now is the time.
