Celebrating Our Common Search for Unity in Diversity
Unity North is in the business of bridge building, with the deep understanding that no matter our various religious belief systems, we belong to each other. At the bottom of all religion, is a deep commitment to love, cooperation and peace on earth. Unity North has been partnering for years now with the Atlanta Baha’i community and we are honored to be hosting a public event to discuss how similar our spiritual foundations truly are. This will be a time of connection where our Baha’i friends will share their hearts and wisdom and we will draw parallels to the basic tenets of Unity and other faith traditions. It’s amazing to discover that even in our different cultural systems that we share so many common desires and beliefs. This will be a time of dialogue, music, meditation, and sharing over some wonderful Persian food!
The weekend event starts on Friday, September 28 in the sanctuary. Fellowship begins at 6:30 pm with the official program being from 7:00-9:00 pm.
On Saturday, September 29, starting at 10:00 am in the Peace chapel and Holy Grounds Cafe, there will be 4 different 2-hour sessions addressing various subjects, including the oneness of God, humanity, and religion, as well as the vision and possibility of peace on earth. Each session will include prayer, teaching, meditation, music, readings, and a brief discussion. Refreshments will be provided during breaks. You are welcome to come to one or all of the sessions, but please join us for a wonderful lunch at 12:45 pm.
On Sunday, September 30 we will celebrate our time together with an overview of all that we have discovered and some special music from our Baha’i friends.
I encourage you to join us for this wonderful bridge building experience! Reserve a spot at Eventbrite here.
