The Hebrew Scriptures, or Old Testament of the Bible, is the story of the Hebrew People and has survived for over 4,000 years.  We will look at this story from a historical, metaphorical, and also an Aramaic and Jewish perspective.  We will not be reading the entire scriptures, but will be taking small sections to see how this story and these people developed over time and overcame their challenges with the strong belief in One God.

Our book will be the first section of Marcus J. Borg’s Reading the Bible Again for the First Time.  You may find it in the Unity North Bookstore or via the Unity North Amazon link.  You will also need your favorite translation of the Bible, and we will compare translations to see how similar or different the same passage is.

Come prepared to have a lively discussion, learn something new, and share a lunch.

Class is $25 for everyone, sign up online HERE.  SEE Credit students need to contact the instructor for details.  There will be a love offering for the instructor accepted at the end of class.
